WayaDesk / Hotspot billing
A concurrent-login limit controls how many sessions may be active at the same time. It is not the same as permanently assigning a voucher to a fixed list of physical devices. That distinction should appear in the offer and in the support procedure.
Use the correct customer wording
If a package allows a particular number of simultaneous logins, say so. Do not promise permanent device identification unless the deployed mechanism actually provides it. A customer replacing a phone and a customer sharing credentials create different support questions.
Check the deployed method
LinkDesk documents Hotspot simultaneous-login controls through the relevant local or RADIUS path. Strict global simultaneous-session enforcement for RADIUS PPPoE is not included. Applying the word “device limit” to every product would hide that important difference.
- Log in up to the configured limit during the pilot.
- Attempt one extra session and observe the actual result.
- Disconnect a session and verify how access becomes available again.
Test stale-state behaviour
An abruptly disconnected device may leave an observation that takes time to update. Staff need to distinguish stale session information from an active extra customer. Check current router or accounting evidence before altering the package or disabling another person’s session.
Keep the rule commercially understandable
For a shared hotspot pass, the customer should know whether a laptop and phone can be used together. Put that information beside the price. Clear expectations prevent a normal enforcement result from being reported as a broken payment or an unreliable network.
Frequently asked questions
Does two simultaneous logins mean two permanently registered devices?
No. Concurrent sessions and permanent physical-device identity are different concepts.
Does the same limit apply to RADIUS PPPoE?
Do not assume so. LinkDesk does not currently provide strict global simultaneous-session enforcement for RADIUS PPPoE.
