An office may need guest WiFi without needing to charge for it. Decide whether your actual requirement is access control, package sales or recurring subscriber billing before buying software. WayaDesk is most relevant when you need supported payment and entitlement workflows.
Identify the business requirement
A receptionist giving visitors temporary internet access has a different task from an operator selling daily passes. List who connects, whether payment is required and how long access should last. Avoid adding checkout merely because a portal can display it. Match the software to a real operating task.
Separate guests and internal resources
The guest network should follow the organisation’s access policy. Router and firewall configuration must keep internal services appropriately isolated. Billing records do not enforce that policy on their own. Test the actual gateway and access-point path before considering the visitor service ready.
Use supported vouchers where appropriate
If the deployment uses local MikroTik Hotspot vouchers, define duration and relevant supported limits clearly. Keep the issuing workflow and any payment record consistent. For recurring accounts, consider the subscriber model rather than repeatedly replacing identities with disposable passes.
Choose the simplest maintainable deployment
Assign ownership of the host, backups, staff accounts and support. If payment is not needed, assess whether your existing network tools already satisfy the requirement. If charging is needed, pilot the package, provider verification, access, expiry and recovery. A paid software licence does not establish that a business needs every available feature.
Questions before buying
Must an office charge guests to use LinkDesk?
The business decides its service policy. Confirm the supported issuing workflow for the intended use.
Does the licence include enterprise visitor identity management?
That broader capability is not promised by the billing licence.
