WayaDesk / PPPoE and renewals
“Monthly” needs a precise definition. A fixed-duration package and a calendar-month package can end on different dates. The difference becomes especially visible around short months and when a customer renews early.
Choose the service rule intentionally
LinkDesk supports fixed-minute and calendar-month plans for documented persistent subscriber workflows. A calendar-month rule follows a local anniversary; it should not be described as a fixed thirty-day block. Select the model that matches the service you intend to sell.
Explain the renewal boundary
Show the customer’s current paid-through date and the period attached to the next purchase. Staff should be able to explain both without calculating dates informally in a chat. Package descriptions, receipts and support messages should use consistent wording.
- Test a purchase near the end of a month.
- Test renewal while paid time remains.
- Test a return after the previous period has expired.
Keep other obligations separate
The operator may pay upstream internet or rent on a different schedule from customer anniversaries. Customer billing rules do not automatically change those supplier obligations. Use business records to plan cash flow rather than assuming all monthly payments occur on the same day.
Check the real installation
Confirm the host’s time handling and inspect the dates produced by the actual plan. A screenshot of a normal mid-month renewal is not enough to validate every calendar boundary. Record representative examples before making a broad promise about how monthly service always behaves.
Frequently asked questions
Is one calendar month always thirty days?
No. Its length follows the relevant calendar and configured anniversary rule.
Can different customers have different renewal dates?
Persistent subscriber records can have different service boundaries. Verify the configured workflow and the dates shown for each account.
