WayaDesk / Business use cases
Estate internet service often follows a household over several months. The operator needs to know which subscriber belongs to which connection, what period is paid and how equipment changes or tenant moves affect the record.
Keep household identity clear
Use a stable subscriber record and a private operating record for the service location. The person making an M-Pesa payment may be different from the resident using the connection. Confirm the intended account before applying a payment or disclosing history.
Agree the monthly rule
Explain the anniversary, expiry and early-renewal behaviour. If a package change starts at the next paid period, show that date to the household. Avoid treating a move-out as permission to erase payment history or silently transfer private account access to another tenant.
- Record the account and equipment handover when occupants change.
- Test the actual authentication path at a representative unit.
- Keep estate support and private account recovery procedures clear.
Separate building infrastructure from billing
Cabling, access points, power and upstream capacity determine service availability across the property. A licence cannot establish coverage inside every unit. Include those installation costs and responsibilities in the estate’s complete operating budget.
Pilot before moving the building
Start with a controlled account or agreed small group. Check payment, renewal, expiry and recovery after interruption. The result should establish a repeatable household workflow before the business depends on it for every resident.
Frequently asked questions
Should the payer’s phone number always identify the household?
No. Someone else may pay on the resident’s behalf; match the intended subscriber and reference.
Does a billing licence include apartment cabling or Wi-Fi coverage?
No. Those are separate infrastructure and installation responsibilities.
Choose your software licence
One installation, a clear router allowance, and perpetual use of the purchased version. Setup assistance, hosting and external services are separate.
