WayaDesk / Business use cases
Shared accommodation combines changing residents with personal devices and uneven usage. The offer must explain how access is purchased, how many simultaneous logins are supported and what happens when a resident leaves or changes equipment.
Design for the stay pattern
A short pass and a recurring resident account solve different needs. Select the workflow according to how long customers stay and how staff identify them. Avoid making every visitor a permanent subscriber if the operating process does not require it.
Explain sharing rules
If a Hotspot package restricts simultaneous logins, state the limit before payment. Do not describe it as permanent device identity. Test common combinations such as a phone and laptop, including reconnects after abrupt disconnection.
- Keep package names aligned with actual validity rules.
- Give reception or sales staff the appropriate limited role.
- Provide a private way to recover account access or raise a ticket.
Check the busy period
Evening demand can differ from a daytime demonstration. Capacity and coverage need representative site testing; the software’s router allowance is not a resident-count guarantee. Review support complaints alongside actual network performance.
Plan resident turnover
Keep payment history and account access separate from an informal room label. When occupancy changes, follow a deliberate handover process rather than forwarding an old resident’s private portal link. Protect the previous customer’s information while establishing the new service arrangement.
Frequently asked questions
Does a room number safely identify every customer over time?
Not by itself. Residents change, so account identity and access need a deliberate handover.
Will more billing licences improve evening Wi-Fi capacity?
No. Capacity depends on the network, upstream service and actual load.
Choose your software licence
One installation, a clear router allowance, and perpetual use of the purchased version. Setup assistance, hosting and external services are separate.
