WayaDesk / Customer service and SMS
Letting a customer choose the next package can reduce repetitive staff work. The interface must still explain whether the choice is a preference, an unpaid invoice or a completed purchase. Those states have different effects on service.
Show the timing of the choice
The current LinkDesk portal supports a next-package selection for persistent subscribers. Selecting it does not immediately change the active paid package. The purchased future period takes effect at its relevant boundary.
Resolve an existing invoice
The documented workflow requires an existing unpaid invoice to be resolved before the next package can change. This avoids leaving the customer with two different instructions for the same upcoming purchase.
- Explain which package is active and which is selected next.
- Show the price and service period before the customer pays.
- Confirm the package attached to the completed payment.
Test the customer’s interpretation
Ask a pilot customer what they expect after clicking a plan choice. If they expect an immediate speed change when the workflow schedules the next period, the explanation needs improvement. Do not solve a wording problem by silently rewriting paid history.
Keep assistance available
Some customers will need help with a pending invoice or a mistaken choice. Staff should locate the existing record and follow the supported process. Repeatedly creating new payment requests can make a simple package-selection question harder to reconcile.
Frequently asked questions
Does choosing a plan charge the customer automatically?
Selection and payment confirmation are separate steps in the documented workflow.
Why cannot a customer keep changing a pending purchase?
An existing unpaid invoice must be resolved so the next payment has an unambiguous package and period.
