WayaDesk / Buyer decisions and pilot
A pilot should produce an answer to a specific question: can this installation deliver the service the operator intends to sell? Write the required outcomes before testing so a successful dashboard demonstration does not replace the original requirements.
Choose a representative scope
Use the actual router, host, package and payment configuration intended for deployment. Include each access method that matters to the business. Start with controlled accounts rather than moving the full customer base to an unverified workflow.
Check the full lifecycle
Test a confirmed payment, correct entitlement, successful access, renewal and expiry. Include a failed payment and an interruption between payment and access. Check restart and backup restoration as distinct exercises.
- Record expected result, observed result and evidence for every check.
- Assign each unresolved issue to a responsible person.
- Define what prevents rollout and what can be accepted as a known limitation.
Include the operator’s tasks
Ask the designated staff member to find a receipt, diagnose a delayed connection and locate the latest backup. A system that only the developer can operate has not completed a practical business handover.
Decide from evidence
Automated software tests are useful development evidence, but they do not replace this live exercise. Accept the installation when the agreed results are observed and the remaining scope is understood. Keep the report so later changes can be tested against the same service expectations.
Frequently asked questions
How many customers should the first pilot include?
Use a controlled representative scope agreed with the operator; do not infer full-network capacity from a small test.
Do automated tests replace real payment and router checks?
No. They support development but do not establish the live behaviour of your equipment and provider configuration.
Choose your software licence
One installation, a clear router allowance, and perpetual use of the purchased version. Setup assistance, hosting and external services are separate.
