WayaDesk / Installation and migration
Public checkout needs an address that customers and the required external services can reach. The private administration screen has a different purpose and should not become public simply because the customer page needs an internet address.
Define the public surface
List the customer pages and integration endpoints required by the deployment. LinkDesk’s public customer service is configured separately from its loopback administrative listener. Use the documented hosting and HTTPS arrangement for the customer path.
Test the address from outside
An address that works only on the operator’s computer is not enough for public checkout. Check the intended customer journey and the provider configuration using the actual hostname. Certificate, name-resolution and routing problems can appear as payment failures even when the local application opens correctly.
- Confirm control of the chosen hostname and its renewal responsibility.
- Verify the customer page over the intended HTTPS address.
- Keep admin settings and secrets outside the public route.
Distinguish two HTTPS services
Online software product-key activation needs the seller’s licensing service. An operator’s customer payment checkout is a different service. Setting up one does not automatically configure the other, even though both may use HTTPS.
Include hosting in the quote
State who maintains the address, certificates and host. A domain purchase alone does not provide a running billing service. Test the public journey after changes to hosting or routing and keep a record of the non-secret configuration for future support.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use the local admin URL as public checkout?
No. The customer endpoint and private administration have separate deployment roles.
Is product-key activation the same server as my customer checkout?
Not necessarily. Seller licensing and operator customer payments are different services.
Choose your software licence
One installation, a clear router allowance, and perpetual use of the purchased version. Setup assistance, hosting and external services are separate.
