WayaDesk / PPPoE and renewals
Reconnection involves more than changing a paid label. The subscriber needs valid entitlement, an appropriate authentication policy and a working path through their equipment to the network. Check those layers in order.
Confirm the existing purchase
Locate the payment and the service period it funds. If the account was renewed correctly, avoid creating another invoice simply because the customer’s equipment has not reconnected. Review any suspension or scheduled package transition before attempting recovery.
Observe the real access path
For local PPPoE, inspect the relevant router result. For RADIUS-based service, include the authentication and accounting path. Use the actual customer-premises equipment where possible; a successful test account elsewhere may not reproduce a household’s fault.
- Verify the account identifier and intended package.
- Check whether authentication is rejected or no attempt is observed.
- Confirm usable service after reconnection, not only the presence of a session.
Expect transitions to be visible
Applying a new period’s rates or timeout can involve a brief session interruption. Explain planned transitions during the pilot so an expected change is not mistaken for a second payment failure. Do not promise uninterrupted transitions without observing the actual equipment behaviour.
Record repeated failures
If the same subscriber repeatedly requires manual intervention, investigate the underlying cause. Retrying access may restore service once, but it does not establish that credentials, equipment configuration or the integration path are correct for continued operation.
Frequently asked questions
Does a paid label prove PPPoE authentication succeeded?
No. Verify the authentication result and customer service separately.
Should I issue another payment request to reconnect?
Inspect the confirmed purchase and recovery path first; a technical reconnection should not create a duplicate charge.
Choose your software licence
One installation, a clear router allowance, and perpetual use of the purchased version. Setup assistance, hosting and external services are separate.
